Conni Jo Hardie

Born and raised in Placerville, CA., Conni’s parents Lester & Joyce Frost raised her to be very independent, inquisitive, dependable and confident. Her grandmother Martha Frost encouraged young Conni’s artistic interests and helped cultivate her passion for color and experimentation. Conni earned her BA in Art from California State University, Chico and her MA from California State University, Sacramento. For over 38 years Conni served as the High School Art Department Chairperson within the Sacramento and El Dorado Counties. As an artist, she is considered a Colorist who specializes in space relationships and uses multiple forms of mediums. Many of her works have tropical themes because of her love for the Hawaiian Islands and Aloha spirit. Conni works in a variety of styles; Impressionistic, Realism and Abstract. Conni Jo Hardie’s personal motto is: “Don’t be afraid of color.”
